Ant-Man onboard the Helicarrier by tclarke597 Ant-Man onboard the Helicarrier by tclarke597
Little did we know, Antman was there all along!

Since the revelation of Edgar Wright and Marvel Studious parting ways, I've been thinking quite a lot about Ant-Man and how they might be approaching him within the MCU.

Although I kind of like the idea of Hank Pym's work shaping and influencing the MCU between WW2 and present day, i would much rather have him lining up alongside the Avengers in present day.

Ideally I'd still have Hank Pym create Ultron, maybe not the robot itself but the underlying AI. Initially this wouldn't be made known to the viewer. But after the first encounter with Ultron, Tony would figure out where the AI originated. This would provide a logical way of introducing Hank Pym into the film.

I also think Marvel have removed one of the more logical methods for recasting further down the line. If they had gone for Hank Pym fighting alongside the Avengers in present day, the could easily replace him with Scott Lang's character when the actor got to old or fulfilled their contract.

Anyway, I thought I would mock up something that I'd love to see appear when Ant-Man does eventually come out. Alas, it will never happen.

Turns out the ant man movie is going to star Scott Lang, and Hank is already an old man. Apparently the plot will be Lang going after Pym's research partner, who stole his tech to become the evil yellowjacket (I call bullshit) and apparently Pym and Janet have a daughter in the movie, who is either going to be a love interest, or a partner for Lang

Yeah, i've been keeping up to date with all the Ant-Man rumours. I'd rather it was closer to the traditional Ant-Man and Wasp approach, but i'm quite intrigued to see how this version of Hank Pym will fit into the MCU and how much influence his work will have =)

Yeah, I'm just disappointed, since Scott Lang is one of my favorite underrated characters, not to mention has a great backstory, and they are just fucking it all up to make such a cliched premise...
